Department March Letter

Hello all,

Well March is starting out strong. I have started my District meeting visits and remember how big Montana is. It's a good thing I have my Department Historian AKA youngest daughter travelling with me. Great quality time!!!!

ALA Girls and AL Boys state is coming fast. As of right now we only have 28 kids signed up. We need your help. Please reach out to your school......to your church programs and any program with the kids to get them signed up. Please help!!!!

A couple of things that have come up at these meeting: Department Convention will be held June 20th to 22nd. It will be in Helena and the Hotel will be the Double Tree Downtown. Our National President, Trish Ward, will be attending. Look for more details to come soon.

Also, National Convention registration forms have been sent out. This year it is in Tampa Bay, Florida. August 22nd thru the 28th. If you would like to attend, reach out to the American Legion for the registration form. I will also have some with me, so ask when I make my district visits.

Membership is at a standstill. Let's get those numbers. I have seen some units still sitting at 0. Why is this???? Please don't wait till the last minute to get these turned in.

Our department fundraiser is still a go. We have tickets out there. SELL...SELL...SELL. The drawing for the car will be at Department convention.

We have a new secretary!!! Please welcome Leila Seyfert as our new Secretary. Our new address is PO Box 867, Glasgow MT 59230. The email is still the same. The office has officially been moved to Glasgow.

Impact reports are due May 1st. Please get these turned in. There is a list of Chairperson on this site under forms. Please get them sent out.

One last thing, Department Historian, Sierra Johnson is looking for photos or any information on what you have been doing this year. Her email is ala.sierraj@gmail.com
