Veterans Day of Giving

Good afternoon, everyone!

On November 11, the American Legion Auxiliary Foundation will celebrate Veterans Day of Giving, and this year, we're inviting ALA members to make it personal by asking themselves one question:

Who is the veteran whose service made your ALA membership possible?

Maybe it's a parent, grandparent, spouse, child, or sibling. Whoever that veteran is, their service is part of your story and the reason you're part of the American Legion Auxiliary. This Veterans Day, you have an opportunity to honor their service in a way that extends beyond a simple thank-you. By making a gift to the Veteran Projects Fund in their honor or memory, you can help make a difference in the lives of other veterans today.

Your gift to the ALA Foundation's Veteran Projects Fund helps eligible ALA entities address newly identified needs of veterans in communities across the country, turning your personal tribute into meaningful support for those who served.

And this year, your gift can go twice as far!

Every dollar donated to the Veteran Projects Fund on November 11 will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to $3,000 by the ALA Foundation Board of Directors.

As national leaders, you have a unique opportunity to help make this campaign a success. You are the movers and shakers of our organization! Your enthusiasm, participation, and willingness to lead by example can inspire others to get involved. When our leadership shows up in support of a campaign, our members take notice.

I'm asking each of you to consider making a gift on November 11, but just as importantly, to help us spread the word. No gift is too small, and every act of participation helps build momentum.

I've also attached a flyer that you can share with your departments, units, and fellow members. Please consider forwarding this email, sharing our social media posts, including the campaign in your local communications, or simply encouraging someone to participate.

Thank you for everything you do to support the American Legion Auxiliary and its Foundation. I'm excited to see what we can accomplish when our leadership comes together to champion this campaign!
